BETA MISSION R2D2
LEO ORBIT & NO RECOVERY
Fibonacci Brokerage will start in Q3 of 2024 with their first mission to LEO that will analyze the impact of radiation and microgravity on wine components during the wine aging process by studying changes in microorganisms subjected to these environments. This mission will be a Beta test of Fibonacci's 3D printed space wine barrels that act as cube sats and eventually will deorbit, return to earth and be recovered for drinking or research. The first mission will not be returning, only researched live time until lifespan of satellite comes to an end.
Such studies will provide many positive outcomes, both for research and profit. Studying the aging of wine will provide the ability to investigate agricultural reactions to microgravity to explore new defense strategies that intend to benefit agricultural endemic diseases back on Earth, better comprehend space environmental effect on fermentation, yeast and other bacteria, in order to develop new flavors, digestive, and nutritional properties that benefit the food industry and wine lovers alike.
Fibonacci Brokerage will be taking wine from a small winery, Ghiomo, in Piemonte, Italy to Space in 2024 to test the waters of how well our space wine barrels react and deal with space environments such as microgravity and radiation as well as the vibration of the rocket launch. After our trial run Fibonacci intends to begin utilizing ride share programs within the space industry to provide end to end services of sending and aging your fine wine in space.
Fibonacci Brokerage has been in the international fine wine importing business for the past five years, and are looking to elevate the industry to help small wineries fight agricultural changes that are negatively effecting their terrains and vines. WHY R2D2?
Named after a space fictional character, a small border terrier named Arturo, which quickly turned to R2D2, took the heart of CEO and Founder Alexandra Jenkins.
​
There was a freedom and biomimicry that developed in her time with R2D2 in the vineyards of Italy in her first Harvest Season back in 2017 in Piemonte, Italy.
​
These fields were where she learned the wine makers sang to their vines and drank late at nights in the marble caves, only to wake up and tend to their crops like it was their last day on earth. Wine was life. It was the air of opportunity, art, hope and expression that Alexandra found everlasting.

Her and R2D2 spent many many hours together dreaming of bringing their favorite wine makers wine home to people who would appreciate the finer quality things in life. They often looked up to the sky in the late vineyard nights dreaming of being astronauts together.
​
R2 died young and left Alexandra wondering how she could honor her late best friend in the sky. What better way then to make a wine mission to space?
